Birthdate: March 9, 1981
Hometown: Originally from Blackwood, NJ (just outside of
Philadelphia)... now living in Orange Park, FL
Major and Year: Meteorology, Sophomore
Future Aspirations: I would like to become a broadcast
meteorologist in a mid-sized market straight out of college; however, I
have not ruled out the possibility of working at the National Weather
Service, a private firm, or perhaps even going to graduate school.
What drew you to Meteorology?: While many claim to have started
my passion for meteorology, I cannot say any of those are totally true.
Ever since I was a small child, I had a fascination with weather maps
on TV. My mom and aunts bought a load of weather-related literature
over the years, which I essentially soaked up. For all intents and
purposes, I was (and still am) a weather geek! After doing weather on
my high school's televised morning announcements, I came here to FSU
and began Channel 47 operations in the Summer of 2000, and now have
expanded into our WFSU production. It's absolutely a thrill to be
around others with the same interests as I, and being able to present
weather information in an informative and fun way to the residents of
the Tallahassee area.
Internships: None yet, but that will be soon to change!
Hobbies: Playing touch football on the weekends, or going to see
a movie and eat out with friends. I also enjoy keeping up on events in
the world around me. Also, I'm fairly big into politics and enjoy
listening to Rush Limbaugh (if you haven't guessed already, I am
conservative). Another thing I enjoy doing is running my mouth. As my
friends and acquaintances will tell you, it's pretty easy to get into a
long, drawn-out conversation with me... but they are always
interesting!
