REALM Project: Really Exploring and Learning Meteorology

REALM Weather Stations Event Log

May 01, 2003- Failing Temperature/ Relative Humidity sensors at Nautilus Middle School and Horace Mann Middle School changed to new retrofit kit to better protect sensor from the elements. Excess dust was notice on the old sensor from Mann Middle School. This most likely was caused by construction of a new building twenty feet to the west.

May 07, 2003- Went to Redland, Centennial, and Citrus Grove Middle Schools to fix calibration and to clean sensors. Problems at each school were as follows:

Redland- RH stuck at 100%. Changed calibration to correct RH, but as graph shows RH just staying the same. REDLAND data graphs

Centennial- Same RH problem here as at Redland. Calibration changed, but RH just staying the same. CENTENNIAL data graphs

Citrus Grove- T/ RH not being recorded, bad sensor. CITRUS GROVE data graphs

To remedy this problem we have contacted Davis Instruments, and we will be receiving the new retrofit kits for the T/RH sensor.
