  "In my classroom, the climate does not recognize gender differences but recognizes performance based on a discovery-oriented classroom setting. First of all as an educator I realize that many of the students have not had the science exposure that they will receive when they get to middle school, so it is imperative that an environment is created that fosters a shared experience between students and conceptual science. In other words, ‘we’re all in this together."
