	"Most girls come into middle school with a preconceived notion that science is for boys. They are very quick to tell you that science is "gross" or "yucky". They also believe that people that like science are nerds, not cool or popular. For a teacher such as myself to be able to change this opinion, takes patience, ingenuity, and role modeling ... if these girls do not change their opinion ... they will go on to college completely dismissing careers and professions in the fields of science."
