	"The realization that future demand will necessitate the involvement of all members of society means that we must find ways to accomplish gender equity in American classrooms now…The girls, as well as the boys, in my classroom are the future leaders of America. When more than half of the population is female, improving the quality of education for all girls should be a national priority as mine. As an educator, it is my duty to ensure that the girls will no longer be at a disadvantage."
