A growing number of
subscribers are using MIME formatting in messages to WXSAT-L.
Please do *not* use MIME; when messages are re-sent by the list
daemon the MIME headers are lost or otherwise unusable. Moreover,
MIME formatting causes the message to be sent twice (the second
time with the useless HTML data), a waste of valuable bandwidth
and, for many subscribers, telephone connect time.
Because many subscribers have requested this kind of service (short, informative message with no attachments of any kind), the list administrators shall feel free to delete such subscribers. Occasional postings to WWW or ftp file links are acceptable, but let's not go overboard with an everyday message telling everyone on the list about "today's image on my server is...".
Where to send things.
To send mail to the entire list, address the mail to:
WXSAT-L@met.fsu.edu
