PROGRAM OBJECTIVE:
To test the NIMBUS spacecraft configuration and provide improved cloud photographs using the APT system deployed on TIROS VIII. Advanced cameras and high resolution infrared radiometers were also to be tested for improved daylight as well as night cloud cover conditions.
