SYNOPTIC SITUATION:
The most obvious feature in the image above is the area of cumulus/stratocumulus in
the middle of the country, which is known as a MSC, mesoscale convective complex. This
brings in storms. Also, there is an area of low pressure over the NE US.
CLOUD AND OCEANIC FEATURES:
Cumulus/stratocumulus clouds are associated with the MSC and stratocumulus clouds
are associated with the low.
